Hello, I’m Agnès!
I am a Physicist with a MSc in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics and a PhD in Neuroscience. I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Cognitive Disorders Unit at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. Also, I’m a teaching assistant for physics courses at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). I participated in multiple outreach projects: Ciència Oberta, Neurones Fregides, and Píndoles Científiques.
I am focused on neurodegenerative diseases (basically Alzheimer’s Disease and frontotemporal dementia) with predictive modeling, machine learning, and biostatistics. I apply predictive modeling, machine learning algorithms, and advanced statistical analyses to predict or classify these neurodegenerative diseases and their phenotypes. I am focused on finding key biomarkers to differentiate these dementias and their phenotypes. Also, I’m trying to define disease trajectories according to age to study the prognosis of the patients.
